Získán nový projekt v rámci evropského projektu IGA/A

KMTP znovu uspěla v grantové soutěži IGA/A a získala financování jednoletého projektu výzkumu doktorandů, který bude probíhat v roce 2022.

Název projektu: Exploring the unconventional determinants of income and wealth inequality

Hlavní řešitel: Ing. Viktar Dudzich

Téma projektu: The project is dedicated to the unconventional roots of unequal distribution of wealth and income in society. The in-detail analysis targets four causes of inequalities which are either unexplored by current academic literature or have received only limited attention from it. The aforementioned causes are the undervaluation of the domestic currency, the activities of sovereign wealth funds, the effects of macroprudential policies and the nexus between religious beliefs and economic behavior of the people. The goal of the project is to expand the existent theoretical models of income and wealth distribution with the presented matters, and empirically evaluate the impact of the mentioned variables on inequalities for a broad sample of advanced and developed nations during the last 20 years (contingent upon the availability of data). The inquiries are to be carried out with the help of appropriate econometric techniques developed for the panel datasets; precisely panel estimators such as GMM, ARDL, and quantile regression. The planned outputs of the project are four scientific articles which are to be submitted to the journals indexed in Web of Science (Q3), Economics and Business field.
